Arabia’s Overkill Jeep Fabrication was founded in 1992 by Jeff Arabia, a resident of Los Gatos, Ca. When we opened our doors,we were known as Arabia’s Automotive. We were a general repair shop specializing in 4 wheel drives. We worked on everything under the sun, yes I said everything, Fords, Chevys, Hondas, Toyotas, VW, Jeeps, everything. After being open for a few years, we started getting known as the Jeep place. Rockcrawling hadn’t taken off yet, so we did a lot of repair work and started to find all of the problems that came with running bigger tires, fixing those lovely BBD carburetors, and so on. As time passed and 4 wheeling became more popular, we started getting more involved in fabrication and aftermarket modifications. Fuel injection conversions, shackle reversals, roll cages, tranny swaps, and axle swaps were becoming more popular, and started to be the biggest part of our business. Being from a general repair background, safety and reliability were the most important things to us, and trying to incorporate those into wheeling became a mission. We were always trying to improve the products that were available to us, that’s probably when we started fabricating so much. “If it was just a little stronger” turned into “ I can make that way stronger” which finally turned into “nobody makes it, so we will” One of the things that I enjoy so much about the rock crawling world is all of the technology that has become available to us, and always trying to improve upon it. Never be afraid to try something new. I have to thank all of our customers and our friends in the industry, shops and suppliers, because they are all of the reasons why we are in business doing what we love to do……wheeling!
